A thought-pondering verse. You've certainly packed volumes in these 4 lines! Tears do wash over grief, they kind of baptize the soul anew - and they bring relief. A fantastic color image, reminiscent with your last line.

This strikes me as an ekphrastic poem because the "rivers of color grant sweet relief" fits well with the picture. There is something that is relieving about letting the tears flow when we need to. Well done four line poem!
