Donna, This is a very well written poem with beautiful words and beautiful art work. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. We don't really have spring or winter here right now. One minute cold and the next really warm. love, Teri

I'm so sorry for you that are still living with so much snow. Winter seems never ending for you this year. In FL we don't even have anything that you could call "winter" just "cooler". I get kind a sick of that too. Great job on the poem and great pics.

Dear Roxanna, Thank you for your comments and review. Dove (PS. I always think about Florida sunshine, but I guess that's not what is happening down there now. Maybe the earth is changing, and that's why we're having all this out-of-season weather.)

Wonderful Spring poem! This is exactly how I feel today, the weather just doesn't know what to do and I feel terrible for the little birdies out there. I love the descriptive "fertile-brown pieces of earth", would love to read more of this type of description! And I absolutely love "I tried to have a Spring Fling...But, alas, snow covered everything!", very funny! I think we all are feeling that way right now. Your poem is so pretty and sweet just like Spring, and I'm definitely ready for it to be here and I think the birds do too. Great job!

This poem perfectly described the morning scene at my house this morning. You draw a picture of browns and greens intermixed because of the snow. And you used rhyme well. This poem should appeal to a very wide audience.

I feel for you! When winter lingers it means a short spring and a long hot summer! "Sweet sparrow hunting for food, hopping around in the icy snow,". poor things. I heard that it is 22 degrees celsius in England with sun all day! I think they have spring! Can't wait to return, love Dolly x
