The work reminisces God as the author of the good and the bad in a man's life.
The work highlights God's omnipotence and his fixation in seeing the protagonist through to heaven.
The work earns its texture through the use of rhymes, sarcasm, assonance and alliteration.

The title: A Poem About God Prompt" made me think this would be a poem about God giving writing prompts to us.
Since this is a contest entry -- you might consider a title different from the actual prompt wording.
The poem is inspiring.
