Don't judge the person in the photo to be grumpy about being in church... maybe someone behind was chatting too loudly or something and interrupting the sermon.
Your words struck a chord with me. They address an important point: the impact of words on mood for positivity or negativity, how they can uplift or be destructive, and also the important aspect of gratitude to God.
How our creativity as wordsmiths can be utilised for gratitude is important to me, too. Last night I did my bit as a poet by turning my words to love of the Lord and how his Love can turn things around for the better for us when his Light is poured upon us.... if you feel like looking at it it's in my portfolio, called "Pivot Point".

I think I am confused as this is posted as Script, yet reads as prose. So I've decided that you have written a monologue which makes it acceptable all the way around. I thought you raised some valuable points to consider in writing as the written word is quite powerful and, as a result, a double-edged sword with which we can help or hinder. Personally, I try to infuse hope and my faith in God (not too much as some folks get REALLY wound up over that) in most everything I write. There are certain topics though that require the words and imagery to be harsh since the topic itself is not a pretty thing. I hope I walk the line reverently as I never seek to offend, only to uplift. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Very Interesting narrative. Definitely thought provoking. I believe that we should try as much as possible to create positivity and creativity. I also prayerfully hope, trust and believe for positive outcomes. However in my mind only GOD can Judge and thereby determine the positivity of any given specific outcome.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

It seems like human nature to focus on the negative but we are called to something higher and better, and when we get it right, it truly IS poetry. *smile*

I taught creative writing so I know as you state, that we are all gifted to ber creators. It was especially through Haiku, I reached the most deigned, unreachable kids. They may have written about their snowmobiles but they wrote and continued to write and it built their self-esteem. Writing is so very healing. I have a Write to Heal facebook page where healing definitely takes place. As a teacher I, as you have expressed, and on here, I so enjoy reading other writers' writing. It is such a treat. This writing of yours has adequately expressed my own sentiments. Thank you. Well written.

A very well-written prose. We are creators and I agree it us much better to create positive things that show the gratitude we have than creating negative things because we have an unhappy childhood etc.
