They prey on all of the down and out--the poor, the elderly the disabled. It is a terrible tragedy they make their living stealing from those who have the least to give. Best wishes in the contest, my friend~Debbie

A neighbor down the street (and it's a decent neighborhood!) just lost her car to a loan shark that convinced her to sign a "Title Loan" for $500 she badly needed to pay taxes. Course he said "Don't worry, it NEVER happens, it's just a security thing"......BORROWERS BEWARE! Good message, great warning!

Hi, Susan! You have certainly touched on a senssitive subject here. Old folks especially fall prey to these animals. I learned a long time ago to live without borrowing or credit cards and i can sleep at night. Alas. Your strong verbs in this poem make the piece jump off the page. Blessings, Bob

A great topic to bring into the light for many to read. I agree with your point of view. Such good word choices in describing these "loan sharks." In six-lines you have done a brilliant job.

When you run out of adjectives, I'll send you more. LOL This really describes my feelings towards creditors to the nth. Very good job with this. I love it.

Totally agree. Regulators seem not to be able to put reigns on many kinds. Perhaps it is the taxes earned.
The devil in a saviour's dress.
Nicely lyrical.
Best wishes.

The whole financial crisis was caused by crooked banks. Banks that thrive today because our national debt went up by a trillion dollars to bail them out. I worked for a bank when the government deregulated them. Immediately management tossed everything out that protected the consumer and found out devious ways to deceive them instead. That way they could charge penalties for things in small print that the customer never understood. That same thing and the unsecured loans that caused the bank bailout are repeating history. Good luck in the contest. Thank you for sharing

Hello Nassus, good poem nicely published with the picture. I agree entirely with the sentiment. Credit is the most expensive money of all. I don't use CC. I suppose I'm lucky in that I don't have to, but I do think it's a bad habit to get into. They are sharks!!! I noticed no errors and thanks for sharing your poetry, Ana.
