So much is said in so few words. I like the message that you share with your poem to the reader here. It does truly bring sadness to all. I like what you've presented here. This is an excellent entry for the contest. Well done Dragonpoet!

Oh, doesn't it though! What clever rhyming in your poem too - not an easy accomplishment.
I think the stats on cancer in Canada reveal one in three people will develop some form of it in his or her life - sad indeed!
Good luck in the contest.

This is a very effective and expressive one line poem. I think it is an excellent contest entry. Cancer certainly is a monster and you describe its effects very well.

What well was said in so few words which was so true. Cancer comes in so many forms and fashion and it eats away slowly as it kills. Everyone in the world has been exposed to it and some form. We've either lost someone or have it ourselves and it's not a pretty sight

Yes. True that. I have lost dear ones to cancer and battled it myself..
It is a challenge to body, mind and spirit.
God bless all whose lives have been touched by this determined foe!

This speaks how cancer in a patient hangs temporarily like a cover for a coffin inviting sadness to the family members; well said, well done. DR ALCREATOR

Well, nobody can disagree with that line - which quite possibly can't be said about the other contest entries.
I hope the Committee doesn't disagree with me (again, as it always does).
Good luck,
Don (Ogden)

Amazing when one can write a complete "story/poem" in one line. This is filled with intense emotion and it's very well written. What a great entry to the contest.
