When you finish your chores you get a feeling of accomplishment. Even something as simple as sweeping the driveway gives satisfaction. It's what pride of ownership is all about. When I drive through my neighborhood, I can tell which homes are owned and which ones are rented.

So true. But it never ends. I get one thing done and there are two waiting.

There's always more work to be done, isn't there? I have lots of chores that need doing, but here I am pecking away on the keyboard. (What I'd rather be doing.) You mention mowing the grass and sweeping the driveway. After you feel satisfaction at doing those chores, you think of things that need to be don inside. Excellent rhyme throughout. Great idea. Your first stanza is lovely but my thought is it doesn't fit in with rest of the stanzas about chores to be done. judi

The first stanza was the what I saw before I saw what had to be done. You're right. Work never ends. Thanks, Judi.

haha so tired is he after doing all those chores? What a great challenge poem for potlatch. It read smoothly with a fun theme & great examples. I really like the 'birds mocking cat below.' The picture is a perfect pairing of words + picture. No time to rest, huh? Now he has to tackle the inside. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Jan

The story of my life. Never get around to it all. Oh, well. It will be there when I'm ready.
Thanks for a wonderful review. A six on Friday? Awesome. I really appreciate it.
