Love the pic of you and your grandchildren. There is a feeling of joy and fun in your words. Your love and the fun you have with your grandchildren comes through clearly in your words.

Hi, Connie

Thank you for sharing this heart-warming poem dedicated to your grandchildren, Jack and Madeline. Your trade-mark poetic style nicely describes a day spent in their company and the joy it brings to all of you.

:) Bev

Your well rhymed verse is well written and has a lovely story.
I have seven grandchildren myself, and they make life worth living, to be sure.
A lovely picture as well.

Thank you for sharing this.

It is wonderful, I remember. I had that for a very brief period. Then we moved up north and that was it. When they came up here they were much older and almost strangers, but I did get a period with then in their grade school years. Now I have two of my teenage great grandchildren next door and I see them every day. I love then dearly. LOL Grandchildren are special! Love the picture. Nancy

Thank you, Nancy, for your wonderful feedback and the six-star review. You are so lucky to have your great grandchildren living right next door. Madeline and Jack are about five minutes away by car, and I'd see them everyday if their parents would let me. I have to share with the other grandparents. )-:
    Thanks again, sweet lady.

This is very nicely composed, Connie. The picture is precious. I'm glad to get a chance to see both of them. Good rhyming within your piece and I think grandma is also ready for a nap. Marilyn

This is so sweet. I hope you are creating a memory/scrapbook for the grandkids--Jack and Madeline! Your writings are priceless and precious treasures for them. What a blessing to love and be loved! Thank you for sharing your story. I loved the details of all the fun you have playing. I give you a virtual six stars.

Thank you, Cindy, for a lovely review and for the virtual six stars. Yes, my husband and I have created books for each year of Jack's first three years and are currently working on one for Madeline's first birthday. They include both photographs that my husband has taken along with poems that I have written about them. Who knows--perhaps one day one of them will be a poet or a photographer!
    Thanks again.

I can easily relate to Grandma in this poem trying to stay up with her grandchildren who are full of energy. I also write poems to and about my granddaughter and am impressed with your easy cadence and use of ABCB rhyming.
