Well, I must say , you succeeded in your attempt to define the writer's art. In details, you metaphorically described this art with innovation -- the weaving, the connecting, and the expressing.
I love the format that you used to present your literal art (there is a semi-format in this poem, which works well).

I really like the idea of word sentries stand guard over right and wrong words.

Perfection. I loved this piece so much. Free verse is my favorite, especially when it still flows seamlessly together as this poem proves! Your "words stand guard," line I could actually "feel." Thanks for sharing this gem!
