I like this and how it co-relates to the fake media in today's world. It is a great entry for the poetry contest. gaged, bound, held as hostage, if that ain't the truth nothing is close to it. Great job, and thanks for sharing. Good luck in the contest

A very telling poem, indeed! What an intense message you are able to share in a 5-7-5 poem. I liked the use of "lieth!" This is a great contest entry. Good luck to you in this contest.

-Good artwork and topic choice.
-Effective use of one continuous thought.
-Your poem also has a good message.
-It seems like truth in various media
circles has been replaced with falsehoods
or accusations, etc.
-Line two only had six syllables.
-Good luck in the contest,Zanya.

So, true and so well said. Bravo,y friend! If the truth would not kill it would stand out very well. Instead, it stays most of the time undercover and the so the truth stays a lie. The evil side of men sometimes. That is what I read in between the lines and agree. And or what do you mean?

Please don't blame the messenger, Zanya. I'm sorry to say that truth can't be a hostage in the scrum, because the 'facts' differ daily, as the President tweets changes in his beliefs and the country's policies, and the media report various interpretations and opinions of the way they think things seem to be, which often is quite different from, or the same as, their views before the 'facts' changed.

In some alternate universe where 'pure truth' exists, it might be public knowledge. (And every poet is showered with sixers.)

I apologize if I broke your bubble.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem. It is so much easier to tell the truth and be on the right side than to tell lies and don't know where we stand and have to remember which lie we told to who.

This 5-7-5, Truth's Tale, has the proper format and brings to mind the old days where journalism was a bastion for truth and 'journalist' didn't either make up stories to bend the perception of the readers (or whatever) or BE the news themselves.

What a profound and straight forward little poem. I like the message that this poem conveys and the culprit that's keeping truth from coming forth. I like this well written poem. Well done.
