Daniel is such a caring and thoughtful person. I like how both come from good close-knit families. Enjoyed the conversation in this post and perhaps the title should be more about that instead of the village.

I really marveled at this sentence: "Did you know that each and every one of us has dormant cancer cells in our bodies, but not all of us will have cancer?" That really explains a lot!

Thanks for sharing about this medical phenomenon. For my granddaughter, that chimera showed up early when she was a toddler.

Minor capitalization nit:
dormant all your life?" He asked. (he)

Hi Alie. Good pace in this chapter which covered an easy-going time spent between the two of them. Questions were answered about the chimera and its growth, as well as contact with the family. Realistic dialogue throughout. Marilyn

You have that rare gift inb an author, the ability to recount the normal and somehow make it interesting. I think it is possibly because although these two behave in a very normal way the circumstances are far from most people's everyday experiences and so are interesting. Readers want to empathise with either Daniel or Rachel dependent on their own gender.

He pulled the two chairs together and indicted for her to sit, then handed her a mug. - indic(a)ted

Daniel and Rachel had a nice, long nap. I look forward to what happens next.

Te post presented the more peaceful part of Daniel and Rachel's life but definitely after this seeming calm, expect a twist of another conflict that will be confronted by the tandem. So, I will wait for the next post to find out what is in store for Daniel and Rachel. Keep writing.

A good chapter. I enjoyed reading it and felt it gave some good insight into the characters.

Notes:

Why can't I just have time for me. I'll call later." She fussed.

'She fussed' feels like a speech tag which would mean...

Why can't I just have time for me. I'll call later," she fussed.

If it's not intended as a speech tag, perhaps a word or two after it?

Why can't I just have time for me. I'll call later." She fussed with her hair/the button on her sleeve
Or ? IDK. :-). Just a thought.

"I agree, I don't plan to get hung up on the why's

whys ?

Did you know that each and every one of us has dormant caner* cells in our bodies, but not all of us will have cancer?

cancer?

All the best,
Jan
