LOL! This is funny and well done. Love the premise and we all know what happens in Vegas (is supposed to) stay in Vegas. A baby shrew to a bunny mommy throws that premise out the window. Marilyn

Ha,ha,ha. You are having such fun with the near sound of words. Shrew and screw. Is this an example of malapropism?
I think so. Clever near rhyme with Vegas and maybe.

Thanks, Shari, for giving this a look. He first shrew of malapropism is to never submit to their resistance. Bill

Unfortunately not everything you do in Vegas stays in Vegas. Some things come out and continues to develop to the point where they cannot be hidden or denied. Look he's got your eyes and your nose. Oh God, now everybody knows, yep it's your kid alright.

A shrew-rabbit might turn out pretty cool.

Lol. Well I thought the last word might have been a different one but I'm sure you want to keep things PG-13. But then you ended up with a pun and bunny puns are fun even on St. Patty's Day.

I was accused of despoiling a cute children's painting. I guess I should have labeled this one.

An extreme beautiful picture that complements your poem very well. Bunny got a new shrew baby, That will keep her very busy with the continuous feeding. Nobody will envy her.

"What happens in Vegas obviously doesn't stay in Vegas" in the shrew world. You got in some good internal rhyme with new and shrew. You successfully carried out the tongue-in-check mood, and your fun pun with shrewed in the last line really capped off the entertainment. judi

Simplicity at its finest. The double meaning gave me a much needed chuckle to start the day. It sounded like a story at first. But, as i arrived at the end, I realized the comedy. Genius!

Well you obviously aren't quite finished with the shrew! lol. (Just read the reply you sent me) What's next? I loved this one, too. The shrew can turn anything into something totally different, just with the name, and you used that to your advantage. Well done, my friend.:) Sandra xx

The juxtaposition of an innocent child's room or nursery and a child's innocent toys against the double-entendres such as "she got shrewd" felt uncomfortable and seemed a lot of effort for a crude punchline.

You've likely met your goal--in my opinion this was on the tasteless side.
