What a divine verse about childhood. The flow and rhythm was delightful and swept me along in nostalgia's glow. This was wonderful and very much worth 6 stars. Good luck, but I don't think you'll need it.

I love this memory driven work, of reflecting on one's childhood. And you've done it so wonderfuly well, in great quatrained delicacies, and articulate, nicely flowing tetrametric aabb rhyming, this is an excellent entry in this contest, well done

This old codger recalling what he did as a youth could be me. The Speaker tells us about his imaginative ventures aboard birds, swimming the ocean, and zooming throughout the galaxy. I especially like stanza 3 and the easy cadence of your poem. Rod

Childhood is one of the happiest memories among little children when they happen to grow up in loving and respectable families. But childhood too, can be a harrowing experience if you happen to belong to parents who hate themselves. Thanks for sharing your happy childhood.
