This naani, The Inattentive Husband, uses twenty-five syllables in these four lines to show us that instead of burning the midnight oil, hubby needs to oil up and make the midnight special.

This is a good reminder of how insignificant real relationships have become now that people are addicted to their gadgets. An excellent Naani on a timely topic. Marilyn

i think they always had a thing for their gadgets. And the reverse. Thanks again for your support, Marilyn.
OMG! I have been neglecting you, my oldest fan. Well, the one of longest duration. I am ashamed.

LOL! No worries. I have been off site a lot since my husband passed away in January. Working my way back into writing and reviewing again. Marilyn

Yes, it is pretty clear from the picture, hubby is a doofus and wife is neglected. Your naani is very cute and clever. I suspect it will do well in this contest. I certainly enjoyed the lighthearted lesson. (I tend to stay too late at my computer sometimes too. )

(Then you'd better hope your hubby is a doofus, too,) Thanks for the terrific review and encouragement, MissMerri!

Damn tootin! that guy must be into some irresistible investment scam or just plain missing the boat that's just waitin' to float, down the river of delight from the lady on his right..aw, no that's his left..where he's gonna be! out! I loved this and had plenty of fun with no suggestions to make it any better...unless they were gonna be into a movie next! Good job ! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance

I think this is a good entry for the Naani Poetry writing prompt.
You've told a clear story here. Husband working in bed, the picture tells the story.
Good luck to you with the competition.
Sharon
