I like the idea of this... and the play on rememberings, but maybe you should take out the apostrophe ?

Dear Randman,
Remembrances are a hoot and can be a source of pleasure. But be aware they may impair the means to go forward. Memories can be changed and altered to fit what we thought really happened. Good poem about memories of the past.

Yes, what would we do without memories like you have penned down.
Your excellent poem reminded me of my current WIP where my MC has lost her memory of a vital evening and this loss of memory might send her to prison...
I love your last stanza best:
But this I say, Saint Paddy's Day,
through war and blight and flood,
the favoured meal of Irishmen
remains a beer and spud.
