You hit the nail on the head in the end - it is what Satan wants, for us to be isolated and alone. He wants to keep us far from others and far from God. I've found when I feel most alone, pressing deeper into God is what brings me comfort.

Hi Sueswrite, I'm so sorry for what you are going through. Sometimes, we can be with someone but never fell more alone. I understand it perfectly. I've been there many times. You hit the nail on the head in the end - it is what Satan wants, for us to be isolated and alone. He wants to keep us far from others and far from God. I've found when I feel most alone, pressing deeper into God is what brings me comfort.

A very well-written free verse poem. It is sad when a partners are so far away from each other that the one feel more safe in solitude. The other seems to have no interest to reach out.

Meaning, I guess, you gain a sense of "self" from him, that is not you. I do not want to overcomplicate what is a good poem. You should feel safe in your solitude. First, I want to say, you are never truly alone, God is always with us. You only need to pray and ask for his help. I say this, because I know from my own experiences. Having said that, believing that and even knowing it, I can say also that life can be cruel at times and it does make us feel alone, worthless and so useless, even feeling like, if we died, who would notice or care.
I have been there, more than once. It is not easy, it is not fun, but you can make it to the other side. You are not alone, as in you are not the only one going through this sort of thing either. I do not know where you live, but I am certain they have a support group, if you do not have anyone to talk with.
You want to talk to someone you can trust and you can speak freely with. If you do not have a friend or family member like that, call the help line, check for support groups, but find someone male or female, that you can download on.
If you are close with your Father or Mother and trust them or a sister, brother don't be afraid to talk to them. Don't feel ashamed, every one has issues and problems from time to time and none of us is expected to do everything alone.
I don't mean that in a bad way, it is a good thing to get rid of the those words, feelings and things that have built up within you. They just keep growing and it just keeps getting worse, but like the balloon being filled water or air, it can only hold so much until it pops.
I am here often and if you wish to write to me, I will answer always, as soon as, I can. It truly does help to talk about what it happening and going on.

There nothing wrong with it but too much can destroy one mind as we humans are meant to socialize so a balance here is needed... of which I think you know how to combine the two. Woe, that was a little too much isolation, and hope it mixed with fiction. There nothing wrong with it but too much can destroy one mind as we humans are meant to socialize so a balance here is needed... of which I think you know how to combine the two. Enjoying ones own company and solitude is a good thing but hiding behind it is another. If you feel lonely while with someone of so many years then perhaps it is time to consider facing up to your options in order to get to a happier way of life and self appreciation. Keeping the door shut so the sunshine won't come in will soon wither your soul. I see you have a beautiful smile from your profile picture...share it with others. Your write is profound and there is a loneliness in your words.
