You repeat the latter part about ballads. Other than that, this is very well written with a humorous overtone. There is very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

I'll kill you!! LOL. No, I'm not so gray like that... A little bit, but once began it can go very fast...Who cares...The paint is bad for your hair and I'm seventy and it saves a lot of money to do nice things with you. I look forward to it.

This is a lot of fun. I'm glad having a visit with your good friend Dutchie has put you in good spirits. You seem to have so much in common. You reveal how you can laugh together and enjoy during her visits. You also have in common that you are both widows, so you can understand each other. In the last stanza, make that our HUSBANDS died as heroes. You obviously didn't share the same husband. Your rhyme in this works well. Very enjoyable. judi
