I think this is a wonderful poem. No one can describe you better than your mirror. No one knows the depths of your soul, your feelings, your memories and your emotions. You made a really nice story out of the reflection. I enjoyed it very much.

This mirror poem, In Defense of Maturity, displayed in cascading couplets within diverse stanzas, speaks truly to the case that we, as young people, defer to peers who don't know anything, rather than to the learned maturity that can only wait for us to screw up.

No I like it and it says so much.... now that I have those only-acquired-by-age details around my image, I am respectful of what all comes with experience and just plain years. It is so much more than any amount of pink hair or lipstick or tattoos can ever begin to compete with. Not that we have a competition. Other than this contest and I wish you luck!

It's not a lousy rhyme. I very much enjoyed it. I like the message you were sending. The passage of time gives wisdom no one can understand until they too have passed the time. Hopefully they learn the correct things. Good luck in the contest.

A good entry for this contest. Good luck with this. One of my few regrets in life is that I could never help my kids to learn from my mistakes. I quit smoking thirty years ago. I have COPD. It killed my mother and now I think my daughter has it too. She is only 46. She can't or won't quit smoking. Makes me so sad. Young people will like the way the mirror shows their physical body. They will not have much self reflection in the mirror. Tha old have a huge advantage in the self reflection game. Years of experience and feedback! Got me going. This contest has some very interesting entries. Thank you for sharing. Good reviews to you!

I like it - it seems a bit repetitive to me but can't explain why. I just think it would be more effective if shorter. A very powerful statement may best reflect brevity. And you make a powerful statement.
