I have to say dear poet that this was a hoot! I laughed as I can't hold a tune either! I love to sing and really get into the music and I forget I don't know how to sing until someone comes in howling for me to stop. Loved this. Good luck. xoxo Kiwi

I am a good singer by most standards - however I was worse than awful prior to years and a lot of money on lessons. I sing at funerals and play taps at military funerals, church choirs, La Jolla Symphony Chorus .... It is a challenge to maintain composure at funerals. I sing very loudly in inappropriate places - restaurants, stores, or anywhere I find out someone is having a birthday. And somethings I sing happy birthday to someone when it is not their birthday to up the response from all whom are near. Helps focusing through attention wanted or not. I find if I'm in a church congregation and sing well, people just stop and look at me. If I sing loud and badly they join in. I sing national anthem loud at all opportunities but only with best quality - few join in.
Point is, if you are willing to spend the time and money and accept the scorn over years of learning you will be able to sing quite well. Just a matter of how much it is worth to you. Sorry for such a long explanation. But I sensed a bit of a wish to sing in you.

Naw mate, I sing the way I sing and if it brings laughter to the poor guys who have to here it, must of been what my voice was meant for. lol xx

Don't recall ever singing in the shower. Used to be a horrid singer prior to years of lessons that ain't cheap. People were quite clear that I should not sing. Things have changed. I bet you are a really good singer. I made the change thanks!
