What a life-changing course this turned out to be for your students! I'm so glad that they learned how to eat more healthy and even start window-sill gardening. I felt sorry for Stan. Hope he changed his diet!
Suggest that this sentence be made into two:
"Absolutely, I strongly suggest that you avoid eating them if you know you are having lab work of any kind you avoid anything with poppy seeds."

It seems that my recently posted tanka "diabetes strikes" was pretty much in sync with this keeping those junk food issues in the the forefront of our readers' minds. This is another excellent chapter in the ongoing account of Mrs Armstrong's return to teaching.

Thanks for reviewing. I do think you are such a wise man with your writing. I do honestly try but my heart is just not into poetry of any kind lol. So I leave it to the experts. Glad you are enjoying the story.

You know that I love Mrs. Armstrong. I always smile so during her lectures. But, I actually learn things as well. That is nice. I have to ask a personal question here. Is cabbage really good for diabetics. My husband was just diagnosed, and cabbage is the only vegetable that he really likes. Is his body craving something that he needs. Tell Mrs. Armstrong to do a lecture on the significance of food cravings for me. Since you know her so well, I mean. Great job as usual.

Thank you so much for reviewing. I am so glad that you are enjoying this. In regards to your husband I am hoping that does have a nutritionist who is available to answer questions. In any diet a variety of food is best advised. For the record there are three kinds of cabbage- red, green and Chinese types and is also part of the same family as brussel sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower. Different ways to cook and enjoy. But I would encourage other veggies as well if possible. It is the phytochemicals that help reduce blood sugars, but is by no means a fix for diabetes. LOL I will see if I can convince her to do something about cravings.
