Lovely one, Darren. It is on my bucket list to see the aurora someday. My husband has an app on his phone which tracks the possibility. But only when it is dark can we see them. Who knows how many auroras occur in the daytime and we don't know? I especially liked the line: curling blankets of color.

Yes, you did convey it well. And they probably do occur during the day but we can't see them because of the sunlight. During the long nights of winter is the best time.
