A very well-written Tanka about the vulnerability of the leaves after falling from the trees. When human feet step on it there is nothing left but just crumbs of leaves.

Lovely, lovely. I like the leaves crackling, which is in keeping with fire motif. You kept that motif throughout. It gives the poem polish in my opinion. Very thoughtfully composed. Excellent word choices.
