Wow Roy. I always enjoy your poetry. You have a such a genteel way with religion and it is very palatable. Even for someone like me LOL
I agree life is a maze and I guess any extra help you can get to navigate it is only a bonus, right?

I'll keep that in mind.
My conscience isn't always the best compass LOL

Uplifting and inspiring work as always, well done

Cheers P

Hello Roy
what ever your coat you wore to cover what ever shame you had is a mystery to me. What attracted me to your poem was the abab rhyme and this-unless one builds foundations strong,
those walls will fall when life goes wrong.
I say to rid of shame one must build strong faith.
Gert

Roy: wonderful witness to the world. The blind man may see
the truth and yell out, "Jesus, help me." I think its time for people
to speak up for the youth to be safe in schools. Disabled and mental
health issues need a helping hand, not be shoved into a box of abuse.
Maybe, the government will see through eyes of the people in America.

May God watch over the world as we praise Jesus! flylikeaneagle - nancy

Hi Roy, great imagery and use of alliteration in this poem. Very nice aabb rhyme and flow. I like the Matthew 15 scripture. The latter part of it makes me laugh.

I think you defined the light quite well and there is no need fore the adjective - dappled.

A strong foundation is very timely. How quickly that has changed. Now it is just about getting what one wants with not a care about the lack of morals or honesty of a leader. It is nice that you are standing up for a strong foundation. So few seem to be doing that. And as you point out, a strong foundation requires time but apparently days to dismantle. Continue to be a leader and others might follow.

Temptation and faith go hand in hand, and once again we see them together in another poem of faith.
You certainly are doing the miles, Roy...good to see focused.
My best wishes.

Good job. I love the wall allegory of foundation and cracks, when life's wind blows, we must hope our foundation is strong. Good job in this work. Hopefully we can all remember to keep our eyes heaven bent.

Well done. Your choice of words and word count (brevity) create a strong message that does not get diluted in ramblings. Thanks for sharing

Well said. Walls make us more vulnerable rather than less. And they require so much energy. Shedding those walls is difficult especially for the young. But how freeing when you don't have that weight to carry around any more. A strong faith, as you implied is crucial. Marge
