A children's fairy-tale, Ricky? Good... I see them hiding under the blankets as mom or dad spin this tale of darkness. I like this story. You finishing it later on tonight right? when the light of day has closed it eyes and shadows appear in the moonlight. Good read keep it up my friend you're getting it together.

Comment from Lloyd T. Okoko
Albeit, with allusions geared towards the dreadful, the story was told with least scare the audience, which I suppose comprise mainly of children. That's a big plus that further enhances Doctor Ricky's creativity.
The reported format of event taken by Annie Oakley is yet another exciting aspect of the work that brings it much closer to a children audience. This is also highly commendable.
The scenario comprising Smoke and Chain as the antagonist and protagonist is laudable.
The use of doom and gloom with their accoutrements of diseases, addictions, cancers and suicides on the side of the antagonist is a well thought out innovation that approximates the plight of the present generation.
Let's hope that Chains who sees it differently as the protagonist in the work would swiftly come up with a countervailing force that will break the Blood Reds hold on Red Dwarf and facilitate succour for its inhabitants.
This is an outstanding work on which I should award a six star. But I am bereft of such facility. Nevertheless, keep the flag flying!

Well there isn't anything too pleasant about these kinds of smokes and chains, Dr. Ricky.
But you've told your story well and I look forward to part two. :)

I am intrigued and will keep my eyes open for part two. I like the word play you did and the way the poem feels like a conversation rather than a poem. Thank you for sharing this poem.
