Thanks for continuing to share your new vocabulary expansion with us. You did a fine job of maintaining the tone of the dialogue. (and many bonus points for creatively working in vinomadefied!) I regret that our country continues to provide such rich material with that certain tangerine appearance, but eventually "this to shall pass."

And the sooner, the better. For the country, and the world. Many thanks for the great review, and for your generous rating, Linda :) Cheers, Craig

Hey, Craig,

A relevant, current-culture poem that held my attention and did so in a flowing rhymed way.

This particular theme was close to the top of my mind, in truth, as the other day, I went to a friend's house and we were discussing random things, and Stormy came up. Actually... just referred to her as the porn star, and ewww. cringe. What was she thinking?

Though to me it seemed, she ran into an opportunity to interact with a man of 'power' and from the interview I read, she was very nonchalant about what had happened. (maybe regretful now, but in that interview, not so much sensing any regret at the time) To me, after reading the interview, and taking into account that sex is something she's been inundated with as a commodity. A profession. The lifestyles of the it's not a big deal to sleep with married men, and he's interesting, rich, and wants me. Add a little alcohol and booya.

Maybe the interviews have changed since the interview I'd read, though, as I didn't do a deep-dive dig, just skimmed the one to appease my morbid curiosity of... why? eww? why?

Were you really that hard up,
[were] your performance fees way down?
(ponderings here... I'm mostly just letting you see my thoughts... on this one: if you delete the 'were' the comma makes sense, if you keep the 'were' there might be a comma splice going on with the comma after up, Not sure you need the were, but if it's a pacing thing... maybe or?)

"(T)the awful truth is that I was
(I think this can maybe be capitalized)

    Hi Turtle,

Thanks for the info about the interview. Most informative, but it's not a total surprise, really. I didn't actually think Stormy would really have had the reaction described in my little ditty... it was more just a case of wanting to express the idea that if anyone were full of remorse and self-recrimination for making a bad choice, it should be her rather than him :)

Thanks for the great catches, much appreciated.

    Craig

Did she really say she was ashamed? I could never do what what she did, but I really can't judge anyone who trades service for satisfaction. To me, she'd have treated him like any other trick. That she figured out how to increase her profits doesn't bother me at all.

Expressive and timely potic commentary.

It doesn't bother me either, and no, to my knowledge, she didn't say that - it was "poetic licence" on my part. The whole joke being that someone who is looked upon by many people (not myself) as lacking in morals, and who has had sex with a great many people, would feel ashamed about one of their "jobs" in particular. She feels she has done herself a great disservice. Cheers, Craig :)

The one who likely feels deep regret and is drowning in the quagmire is Melania. On her own, I doubt she'd give a damn about how it would look to the American people--she'd be gone. But, she's the mother of their child and she's had to eat this crap. Stormy is the 2nd or 4rd who has come forward, all within the year after Baron's birth. A horrible legacy for the child and an emmense burden for her. I'd wager she's suigned a deal to keep her mouth shit and will receive millions way above entitlement as a spouse to shut up and stay in the background. I wouldn't want to be in her position for anything, but I can understand her cooperation.

The loss iis Baron, but I doubt Trump cares. Want to bet the kid's revenge thirty years from now is to run as a Democrat and piss on his father's grave?

All I can say is, "That poor politicians wife!!" I wouldn't be surprised if she ups and leaves him after his term in office is over. Hahaha ... love the response of the porn actress. In other words, because she was "vinomadefied" she dropped her standards to have sex with him ... priceless!

So very well written and presented, Craig, and a great way to teach us the word "vinomadefied". ~~ Connie

A very well-written poem about the very outrageous and stupid things people do when they are vinomadefied. Only they are to blame, because they have far too much.

Thanks so much for the kind review, Sandra. I'm perfectly capable of doing stupid things without the influence of alcohol, so I don't push it to see how much worse it could get :) All the best, Craig

This is an entertaining post. Entertainment maybe what politicans are about. It reminds me of the plot in 'Muriel's Wedding' a great movie about Australian politican's Muriel's father's place in history.

My guess is that by the time all the porn stars come forward there'll be enough to write a whole book of ditties. What a wonderful way to introduce your new word, vinomadefied. I'm sure the word was created so that poets and truth tellers can work it into their writes without getting severe and unrelenting criticism from the so-called moral minority. Try to figure out that paradox.

Excellent post!

Gloria

This is wonderfully done and the word was perfectly used to make us laugh. Loved the notes and laughed again with the comment from the porn queen and not the politician.

An oaf is a man who is rough or clumsy and unintelligent. Oafish is the adjectival form. Vinomadefied, as explained in the author notes, means "extremely drunk". Cheers, Craig

Thanks very much, Dolly. I'm just wondering, since it's not in a contest, what do you mean by "best of luck"? Do you mean dodging his irate supporters? lol Many thanks, Craig
