I reviewed a poem earlier today that cam to the conclusion that truth could be distorted by the the standpoint from which it was observed. In a more humorous way I think you are coming to the same conclusion. Remember how kipling said we should treat those two imposters (triumph and disaster) just the same? Difficult innit?

A humorous idea only has so much elasticity.

Yup.
It is/was a bit overblown.
Not my usual bill of fare. But like I said in the description: A Little Writing Competition Humor...Maybe: Emphasis on "Little" and "Maybe."
And yet...perhaps a bit of truth lurking about in all of the exaggeration!

Well, I'm sorry to inform you that I didn't get a lucky leprechaun or free member cent pump for this review, so therefore, I'll be rating this a "one star"! (yes, I know... how did I know this before hitting "save?" Don't get all nit-picky over details!
This is really very funny, and beautifully runs the gamut of emotions we go through in laying our souls on the line here in our little writing community. I love the fill-in-the-blanks approach you've adopted.
Just to put your mind at rest, this is really a blind competition - I have no idea what I just typed.

Think you said it all in this wonderfully clever piece of writing, which I really enjoyed. Not a great lover of free verse but this was very much the exception.

HAHAHA, I think we've all had those thoughts at one point or another. You are just being honest by sharing them. We all get caught up in our writing and those scathing reviews when the reviewer misses the point completely.
