What great test taking advice you gave your students! I like the tips to read carefully, and go with your first instinct, (maybe the sixth sense? ð???) I like how some of the students were enthusiastic enough to read ahead to prepare their minds for learning.

I was almost deafened by the ghostly voice of my old headmaster bellowing "READ THE QUESTION!" when I realised what the bulk of this class had done. The didden agenda in this question is so important.

Actually this became a very personal episode as my cat bit my wrist a couple of years ago. It was a tiny puncture wound but deep enough to infect the synovial fluid and eventually I was hospitalised on an antibiotic drip for 6 days. When the doc drew off some of the fluid to check it was grey green in colour and cloudy. It was also very painful.

This episode took me back in time.

Yikes, I am so sorry I caused you to recall bad memories, that must have been painful. For many years I actually thought the term 'cat scratch (bite) fever' was something that someone made up because they didn't like cats. Then I got it and like you had antibiotics but mine were pill form from home. Yep, those are the good old moments, hearing one's professor lol. Thanks for reviewing

This is an interesting concept not to give homework on the weekend. Wish I'd had that in school. We were always loaded up. Your writing is clear as Mrs. Armstrong coaches the kids on what she's looking for--following directions, trying to make them think.

There are a few typos to correct:
But like Andrew said, your answers looked to (too) short.
When they all settled once again, I asked Andrew to read is (his) essay answer.
"That's what I was going to asked (ask)." Ralph commented.

Thanks for reviewing Marilyn, I will correct those in a few minutes, thanks for catching them. I think because it is an adult course and (shhhhh) will become a skills career perhaps the skills and the thinking are what they need.

I wish I had a teacher like her growing up. She seems to really know her kids and what works while doing it in a non condescending way. The kids in turn seem to be more eager to raise there hands. This was well done and worth the read.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, I really appreciate your kind comments. I guess part of the solution was that these were adult students, so condescending just wouldn't work. Again thanks.

Good idea to see if they read directions and followed them. Adding extra is as bad as not having enough in the real world, so this helps to prepare them for a job.
