This free verse, A Goose Named Duck, has a lot of fun elements to it that make me want to get my own cement goose. I'll name mine Swanee.

This is actually a fine poem for this contest,
I would think... It's got everything going for it...
Smooth rhythm and rhyme... Great storyline...
No 'glitches' along the way...
My compliments on a fine, entertaining piece!

This is a very cute and well written Children's poem titled A Goose named Duck. You used such cute wording and very cute imagery with the art work. Fun to read and review. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

This is a fun children's poem. My family has had similar pets over the years that were dressed for the various holidays and occasions
Very nicely done complete with a picture of Duck.

Blessings
Janet

I liked this poem. The picture, words, colors, and title are all silly, just the way kids like them. I am not a writer of children's stories, but I feel compelled to call out two words - staunchly and gaieties - not sure what grade level these are at. Other than that, I think you've written a darling little poem that is humorous and poetic. Good luck with the prompt. I wouldn't change a word.

Thanks for the read and the comments. I have found that children like to be challenged by words and are gratified to learn new ones.
