Very apt entry into the contest. Visually impairment and being blind, often doesn't mean total darkness. Sometimes just like looking through eye glasses smeared with Vaseline.

My mother and her mother each spent decades looking through Vaseline. Pretty good description of it.

A very well-written 3-5-3 poem. Blind people see nothing but darkness around them. Their hands become their vision when they feel around to explore things that interest them.
