There seems to be true love between Beth and Lloyd, the determined young man of his era, who knew what he wanted when he saw it.
This was another very well written and engaging chapter. As I already said previously, you're writing about a time and communities that was still more human and nurtured that sense of love and togetherness that is all but gone today.
You're are indeed a great story teller.

Thank you so much. I will share something with you that I have not mentioned at all (hope it's not a spoiler). Lloyd and Betty were my parents and spent almost 70 years together before his death. These stories are really theirs.
