This is a very powerful poem that describes hate so vividly that it
seems like a live ultra-evil entity. You have made effective use of specifics
in this "character sketch" of hate.

Hate is not a nice thing, but sadly it resides in all of us. Great poem that was an easy read with a nice flow. Best of luck in the contest with the one, it was great.

Hatred is evil and its abundant in this country - out of control and spreading - its a disease and the politicians are the root of it - taking God away and declaring war on Christians - its sad times - and your poem brings the reality of whats going on - thanks for sharing - respectfully Ron

Positively negative flow to theme and out look. All technical aspects soundly constructed with dark themes and accompanying writting images.
Good Luck if entered in a contest.

This was a good read, Boogienights. It was very powerful and dark, and I loved it. The flow was good as was the imagery and the ending was perfect. Nice job.

Hi Boogienights, I like your poem, I think it's great, even though it has to do, with a thing like hate! ... Hey... that rhymes! I think this is very well said... it does creep into everything, everywhere, and it doesn't ever want to let go, does it.

This is an exceptional poem. it certainly deserves six stars if I had them to give. Your presentation with the artwork and black background with white lettering is very good. I like the way you repeated I Am Hate and then went on in the next verse to describe where hate is found. You are very talented. Best of luck in the Poem of the Month contest.

This was amazing! You described every aspect of hate perfectly. Using the line " I am hate" intermittingly the way you did here is very effective. I especially liked " trap your soul until your heart's an empty hole" Good luck in the contest!

I can easily see why this scathing poetic tirade was selected by the staff here at Fanstory for a Poem of the Month contest entry, Pam.
It sneaks up on ya' and hits you with a sucker-punch squarely in the solar plexus.
The emotion of hate is like a cancer, eating away at us from the inside out.
The only ones we wind up hurting when we hate someone in the end is ourselves.
Best just to let it go and let bygones be bygones.
Nicely penned!
