I've never got a six left when I want one. This poem is superb, Yvonne, I just love the rhyme style, and it's flawless in it's presentation. Reading aloud, I didn't stumble once in the change over, it was a smooth as silk. The winds are playing us up today, not nice at all. Well done, my friend. I enjoyed reading this delightful poem. :) Sandra xx

As I read your poem, I could feel the storm raging in all it's glory. You describe the fury of it all perfectly and I thought that you really captured nature in its most savage form. Great writing, I really enjoyed it.

A very well-written duo-rhyme and a great subject choice. Your rhymes work well and bring a message of not being free from fear no matter how dangerous things seem to be.

Thank you. I love a storm as long as it does no damage or knock out the power. 8-)

Oh, this is wonderful! I doubt I would try to write this form though - not with that presentation. I have tried many times to manually space over, and it won't do it for me - not since my first year as a member.
One more quirk that seems exclusive to my account.
I loved your poem, though, Yvonne - the imagery it evokes is spectacular!

Oh, go ahead and try it. You don't have to space over. That's optional. Thank you for a lovely review.

I really enjoyed your rendition of Mary L. Port's Duo-rhyme poem, Yvonne.
There are many great examples of assonance, consonance and alliteration scattered all throughout.
The rhyming is impeccable.
The onomatopoeia creates a storm-like effect , which is perfect for the topic you've chosen.
Outstanding!

You have done a good job with this formatted rhyme scheme. I haven't had time and also found this one trying. You have made the natural event vivid and lasting which is all one can hope for.

Thank you for saying that. I hoped it would give that feeling. It's not as hard as it looks. Try one. 8-)

The hills break up winds with a long fetch, so our wickedest storms are little pop-up thunderstorms that go bowling down the hollows. With all these trees, I dread any of them. Looks like an excellent six-line-middle duo rhyme.

I know what you mean. I felt that way when I lived in the woods. But I like a harmless thunder-boomer. 8-)

Just beautiful, Yvonne. The wind is such a powerful force and I must admit it is one of nature's set of circumstance that somewhat frightens me.

A beautiful poem with lots of emotion.

Great job!

Well done with your duo rhyme verse Yvonne.
You've really put us into the eye of the storm with the descriptive middle rhyme lines. This is a lovely form to read, haven't tried mine yet,
well done.
cheers.
