Beautiful my friend, beautiful. That stanza is in itself worth a sixth star, yet humble are pickings.
Always good to read from you, my friend.
Good to see you well.
Have a great day.

I think you managed to achieve the rolling verse you were looking for.
This flows very nicely and paints a good picture of reverence and tribute.
Well done.

I am glad the flowing flags, captured in your recent photograph, took hold of your muse and propelled you to create a rolling meter. I admired your personifying the wind and your alliteration of "f's" as well. The poetic devices underscore your "rev'rence". Cheers- Joan

The photograph was a nice accompaniment, however, completely not necessary. The poem is visual through words. Creative. Patriotic. Sad, but great tip for what to think about during silent meditations. Nice work :)

It's a great photo, and extra well done for that.
A lovely, thoughtful and profound poem, great job.
I can't think of anything that needs tweaking, really well done.
Take care.

A very well-written poem inspired by the sun, moon, and the flags flowing in the wind that sounds like a bugles' song. An interesting format with three syllables per foot.

Thank you Sandra. Yes, a meter not often used, but nicely effective.

A well written poem to go with the picture.
Well done.
Very good writing in dealing with a sensitive subject.

An interesting use of amphibrach metre. Apart from the occasional substitution in anapaest one rarely comes across this one and that Seuss poem is the one most frequently paraded as an example. Highly suitable here. You have captured the idea of the sunset call well,
