What a gorgeous presentation for your succinct and profound faith poem, Cass. It's wonderful that when fear knocked on the door, Faith had vanquished it. Using the artwork of a young girl praying I think very much adds to the poignancy of your sentiment.
Super job and best of luck to you in the contest. I think your muse did just the right thing.

Dear Gloria, Thank you for your review and the five stars.. The little girl's face is so sweet and innocent. She reminds me of a child who used to play with my children when they were young. She grew to be a wonderful young woman who became a nurse. Now she has children of her own. Her husband worships the ground she walks on. It was wonderful to watch her grow from a little , shy girl to the beautiful person she now is. Cheers Cass

The few things I know of haiku (loads of rules) - don't use capital letters. It might be easier to call it a 5-7-5 poem. The haiku police go into overdrive in reviews.

Dear Joy, Thank you for your review and the five stars. Yes, I am remiss in calling this an Haiku. 5-7-5 would be correct .The Haiku "police" is such a LOL for me. It gives me a whole load of images of Ninja clad figures sliding down ropes towards me, helplessly transfixed at the computer. Eeekk!! I won't do it again, I promise. That being said, this is certainly a nice poem. I like the pairing of Faith and Fear as personifications of those two attributes, and the picture suggests that faith is a little girl. Even in the young, faith can be very strong. The message is strong too - that faith will overcome fear every time. My entry, when finished, will say much the same thing, although not really about religious faith.

That being said, this is certainly a nice poem. I like the pairing of Faith and Fear as personifications of those two attributes, and the picture suggests that faith is a little girl. Even in the young, faith can be very strong. The message is strong too - that faith will overcome fear every time. My entry, when finished, will say much the same thing, although not really about religious faith.

Yes, I feel a bit of a slacker with this very short entry, but My Muse wasn't disposed to give me more so this is "It" The artwork very closely resembles a sweet child who was a playmate to my own children.
