"Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
'Sir,' said I, 'or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you' - here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more."
~ Edgar Alan Poe: The Raven

Nice poetic proclamation portraying your faith, Cass.

Dear Dean, Thank you for your review and the five stars. Yes Edgar opened HIS door to (apparently) nothing, but that was a horse of a different colour, now wasn't it? How very complimentary to see my words compared to E.A.P. And also to have you come creeping out of your crypt to say "HellOOOooooooo" Take care though, it's broad daylight where I am at present, and you know what that does to you. Ffffiiiizzzzz!!! Thanks again my friend, nice to hear from you cheers Cass

This was a "Faith Contest Entree rich in Theme and imagery.
It flowed well and read well with no grammar issues as well.
Adjective Content was aligned well with Objective Content and Descriptive Measures aligned perfectly fine.
Good luck with this.
Dr Ricky 1024.

This is such a lovely faith poem in the 5/7/5 poetry form. The picture is also very sweet. Cleverly worded poem - it makes a good idiom. Good luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy

Dear Dorothy , Thank you for your review and the five stars. You are correct in putting this in a 5-7-5 category as it is not a truly constructed Haiku. I must remember to class this kind of poem properly . cheers Cass

Hello, :)
I wish you luck in the contest. I like that fear ran from faith, :) that is a really neat idea. I have one suggestion -- that 'when' be small letters because it continues the thought.

A very well-written short poem. It s the best way to get rid of fear when it knocks at the door, send faith to open the door and fear will definitely runs away.

Good morning again, Cass: Wow! I love it, love it, love it! Your words are few and to the point but they are strong and well said. "Fear knocked on my door but sweet faith opened it wide and fear was gone." Even the thought is so awesome. It really makes me smile to think of this because I remember so many times when I faced my fear of something it was always my faith that calmed me, my reliance on the Almighty one and I would say a quiet prayer or calm on His Great Name.

This is another marvelous post. Welcome back, my friend.
