A very well-written 5-7-5 poem watching Autumn unfolds from the first until the last leave that falls it is an amazing picture show. Each season of Autumn is different although the same things happen.

This is a very well composed 5-7-5 poem with the exception that you've failed to use capitalization, Linda.
5-7-5 poetry would look something like this using your own words:

Amazed by the show,
a cinema of autumn
as the last leaf falls.

While haiku poetry frowns on the use of capitalization except for proper nouns, 5-7-5 poetry requires it.

Haiku poetry MUST pertain to nature and man's relationship to it, while 5-7-5 poetry can be about any topic the poet chooses.

Seasons, such as winter, spring, summer and fall, do not require capitalization because they are generic nouns. Some people may confuse these words as being proper nouns and try to capitalize them using that rule of capitalization.

Still, not many people seem to care about these things here. If I were judging this as a 5-7-5 I would require you make changes or it would be disqualified.
I'm not docking you any stars because I'm sure you'll make the necessary revisions.

Why No 5-7-5?

HI Dean, I didn't use capitalization on anything but Autumn...and that is because it is the name of the season...thank you my sweet friend for a wonderful review...love Linda xxoo

    I realize that.
But 5-7-5 requires that you capitalize and punctuate normally.

Dear Mystery Poet,

You have a lovely picture and message combination for this contest. I love your description of, "cinerama". That's a lovely way to describe it.

I counted eight syllables in line two when there should only be seven:

- "a - cin - a - ram - a - of - Au - tumn"

You might want to change that since this is a contest entry.

Sincerely Joy xx

You could just say, "cinarama of Autumn". I really like cinarama. It's a terrific word.

Hello!
Your 5/7/5 offering is creative. "Cinerama" applies well to your poem and the artwork used to highlight it. However, your second line contains 8 syllables, not seven. Easy fix: remove that article "a!"

Best wishes,
diane

Lovely tribute to the beauty of autumn. Though it signals the end of summer, autumn has a charm all her own. As the last leaf falls, it signals the beginning of winter. And that has a beauty of its own - unless it's below zero like it has been here in New England recently! Well done.

Lovely imagery, and a faultless write.

Nothing I could suggest to change, and excellent 5/7/5 as it stands.

Best of luck in the contest.

Take care.

Hello from India
Nature's bounties are a spectacle often overlooked by us. Your poem conveys this message quite beautifully. A well written poem in a genre which is difficult by all standards.
Congratulations.
