I like yo9ur use of the words of chocolate and chardonnay representing poetry and prose. I like both poetry and prose, although I do not like wine, but chocolate is something I have to limit in my diet as I could make a pig of myself on it. Patricia

Sounds lovely! I like chocolate but I'm not sure about chardonnay. And I'm not sure I like the sound of something fruity with something like chocolate. But I do like the idea of a fireplace with poems and prose.

What a sweet and delicious poem, dear. Fine flow and rhyming, lovely presentation, nice mood! Love these lines:

Sweet chocolate is poetry --
fine Chardonnay is prose.

Lovely phonetics as well.
No nits or suggestions, though I would consider not using the commas after AND and SO, even though they are grammatically correct, just for smoother flow (to my ear).

It's fine either way, though!

A very well-written poem to lighten a sombre mood on a snowy evening in front of the fireplace. I never tried chocolate and Chardonnay in combination, but will certainly try it some day.

Nice :) I'll partake in the chocolate, but no wine for me. I shouldn't have chocolate either since I managed to lose four pounds this year already.

Your poem describes a warm and cheerful atmosphere of family snuggled up close to the fire on a snow day. We have had a deep freeze here too. I think it is a bit warmer today.
