This is an uplifting read for a frigid January day in Upstate New York. It is picture perfect and I will print it and keep it on my desk to read all winter. The verses have a sing song rhythm and the title describes what is to come. Good writing!

Cheers JMF4119;
-read your profile I found your from North Carolina my wife was from North Carolina also. Michael's older brothers we who are retired doctors living Greensboro and Raleigh. Small world.
-After reading some your poetry in your profile which are very structured it's fun to know that you had a great time writing this as well as I was so much entertained by it.
-Is fun when we can do stuff like this..!
-Before I started reading this when I looked up your profile and then I looked for a white rose with a glass of Chardonnay and I couldn't find one. I got a pink rose in a rose. But that was that.
-I talked to Dean on the phone today as I usually do, close friends, and he mentioned that you two wrote these poems as somewhat of a challenge. So I read years because of it.
-Take care and have a good one especially with all those that love you dearly.

Thank you Alex for your lovely review and your kind comments.
It is a small world - we live near Asheville but my daughter lives in Greenville (not to far from Raleigh)
Please say "hey" to Dean when you talk to him next. He has been a big help to me in many of my FanStory endeavors.
I'm still working on pictures so this didn't match my poem but I'll figure it out for next time. :))))

Hi Janet, you're very welcome my friend. And I'll say hi to Dean for you. And yes it is a small world but I'm sorry to say with large aspirations of indifference. Which is good and bad. Chuckle

Comment from Gloria ....
Stellar artwork choice and presentation, Janet. What an innovative idea to compare chocolate to poetry and Chardonnay to prose. That way we get to enjoy the best of both worlds, yes?
Then against the backdrop of fire and romance this IS a picture-perfect day.
Love this!

Hello,
I really enjoyed the slow flowing rhythm of your words.
They have a smooth and easy (perhaps metaphoric) feel as does gathering with friends and family.
Your captured the mood of the experience perfectly.
The image your chose compliments your work as well.

Thank you for fun review. I'm not familiar with Tru Moo but I bet it does go well with chocolate.

-Very good meter, imagery, and rhyme.
-I like the beginning with
two good comparisons.

Hello Janet,
This hits just the right notes,
sounds like a perfect way to spend a snowy day or night
with fine alternating, 8 - 6 syllable lines and solid rhymes
Perfect art work too, we'll just secretly call the wine Cabernet
Well done

Thank you RS for your lovely review and your kind comments. Cabernet it is. I hadn't thought of Cabernet and that would have made my rhyme as well. I actually prefer Merlot but that really would not fit my rhyme. haha

Good work on the poem.
The first stanza flows amazingly well and brought a lot of joy to my heart. It was a pleasure reading it. It sang to me.
The second and third stanzas were good... but the imagery just wasn't the same as the first stanza.
