Oh, yes, our homes--especially old houses like mine--have all sorts of little and big peculiarities. I don't think about mine till company's coming. Your concise poem is well-written and delightful.

You've written an entertaining poem about a common problem - tap abuse. We Aussies know about turning the tap off and not leaving the water running, so we probably are more in danger of getting repetitive strain injury in our wrists than other nationalities who are more wasteful of water! But the people who wreck washers by 'strangling' the tap are annoying, especially when more weak-wristed individuals such as myself can't turn the tap back on.

Very true, Lisa. Lovely hearing from you. Getting very close to my move off the paying accounts. I think we are linked on the FREE Pinny2 one. Will watch for your stuff on there after these close Mid November.

This is a cute poem about a very specific topic. It is humorous in nature with a rhyme scheme that works well. Since the picture is a little hazy and difficult to view, I would search for a replacement.

I think it came from Fanart. But never mind. Glad you liked the poem. Getting ready to move off paying accounts soon. I will see if I have fanned you on the FREE Pinny2 account I will be on after Mid-November.

This reminds me of notes my dad used to leave on things around the house on occasion, usually with more abrupt directions like, "Turn off when done." The last stanza seems more specific and points out advantages of following the directions contained therein. Turning off taps a certain way in every part of the house can be tedious, but it is necessary!

Yeah, it's a nuisance when you have to be changing washers all the time because someone turns the taps, or faucets, as hard as they can. Love your humorous little reminder.

Smiles Sankey
Read your poem about the dripping leaky faucets
(which you call taps) I had to smile of the note that you left for folks to read how to turn of the faucets Till water goes Off.
Don't over-twist
It'll as well save your wrist.

Gert, tell me are we of similar beliefs in the Lord? And I am the same I am overloaded with Funny Money now but even if I wasn't I like good stories rewards or not!

What good is Funny money if you cannot take it with you when you go through the pearly gates/
My belief folks here on Fanstory when they
post a good writing and even if there aren't any rewards should still be read and let them know their work is acknowledged.
I guess that is the reason I don't have much fun money

wonderful, Sankey!
Have to admit you threw me. Thought it would be about a dancer.
Now you know what you can give your father-in-law for Christmas - new taps.
Or maybe just a manual. (ha!)
good luck in the contest- not sure which one you were referring to.

Intriguing and interesting. Some times those caregivers need more than a gentle reminder that superhuman strength is not necessary to turn water off. Also had a touch of humor in this. Enjoyed reading.

I understand your frustration with dripping taps and those who turn them on and off.
A pleasant and respectfully written poetic list of instructions seems a fitting way to get your point across.
Carers often volunteer their services for free and I'm sure would never knowingly cause distress.

Hi there. The carers are not as much of a problem as my father in law hehe. Thanks for the lovely review. Not sure the rewards were still on?

Enjoyed your little story on faucet washers and etc. I have done a lot of plumbing in my life and I can say that yes too many people turn off the faucet too tight and it wears out the washers very fast.

Thanks bro. The vanity washers are particularly special and have served me faithfully for years.
