This is a lovely three verse haiku. Winter can be beautiful but we wait for spring's arrival. I like your middle verse of being warm and cozy, a feeling we desire in winter.

Hi Darren! Enjoyed your trio of winter poems. Yes, it's a natural thing to hide in our homes in the cold of winter. Good assonance in the first verse (pallid, pall, wan) and alliteration in the second (hiding, home)
