This is so beautiful with all of its imagery. This might draw the reader to wonder what that looks like with mountains. With no mountains. The sun does seem to fall, it disappear so suddenly. It falls behind mountains around here in VT. USA . The colors change again and again then it's gone. And night begins to ascend. The cannot hold the same place, as one descends the curtain of darkness appears. Hm ? Does it fall or rise or meld into a curtain. Well written.

The sun does appear to be falling, doesn't it? Image is serene and sets the mood for you composition. Your poem reads nicely and you have given it the addition of rhyming. Nicely done. Marilyn

Excellent use of words that captures the image of the sun setting and night appearing. Excellent use of the 3-5-3 form that shows nature in action. Best wishes for the contest.
