WELL, you got my thumbs up in competition which placed you. Good luck! What an awesome photo that fits perfectly with your winter storm. What city did this snow fall in and how many feet is it? What's the temperature? The news said some temperatures were -36 degrees below freezing. Check out mine, also. WELL DONE. liberty justice

I live 100 km inland from Vancouver BC Canada, a town called Sardis. It is at the base of mountains. This was only a couple of feet of snow but I hear, (I just moved here) that there will be more snow storms to come along. We only get down to about 8 Celsius. cold enough for snow and ice. thxs for your awesome review

    Have you studied scientific
    and geological reports as to
    Avalanches and sturdiness
    of mountains? What do you
    like about Canada and
    dont like about U.S.?

lol thxs for your concern over my mountains. I'm fine, I'm not at the actual mountain/land base, I'm at least 1 mile away from them. These are well maintained, as far as loose sections go. they are always blasting in the mountain range behind the outer perimeter of mountains. There are screen type protection over certain sections and there have been occasional slides but not for many, many years. There are parts of the States that are so much like the land I live in, eg. Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, we all share the same type of wooded, desert land. Colorado reminds me so much of the Okanagan area in BC. and well, Seattle is a lot like Vancouver except for the mountains just outside of Vancouver. I guess the people in general are more friendly here in Canada that I have found in my travels. Where are you exactly?

Oh we have totally different weather. I have a niece in Austin. I was quite worried about the last big storm there. Always wanted to go to Texas, only drove through El Paso to Mexico for a weekend when I lived in Albuquerque for a few months, way back when.

I can relate to this one, here on Cape Cod we have freezing cold temperatures and a small amount of snow. Your poetic form creates a clear picture of nature that is happening now in most of the country.
