This is real, down home goodness.
The piece is fun to read as well as clever and humorous.
Your brain is very agile. I hope the rest of you catches up.

And with my new-found energy
And blood cells running free,
I'll write my true life story:
A romantic comedy. ' Such a sweet ending. My life is probably the opposite of a romantic tale-but very much a comedy lol. A fabulous write I enjoyed immensely kindest regards Meia x

Hello,
Thank you, for making me laugh. I appreciate it. Your poem was very entertaining.
I need to exercise too. Fibromyalgia is something I am facing. I could end up in a wheelchair if I'm not careful. But when I do exercise (have to be careful not to overdo which I have a tendency to do) I feel awesome afterwards. It helps my writing -- I feel I am more clear in my head and can reach my muse better. So do the exercise, you will thank yourself!!

I'm glad I made you laugh.
I know you're right about exercising. I always felt better after PT, though I never wanted to go.
reply by Rasmine on 06-Jan-2018
Yeah! I am like 'Man, I have to exercise, blah' :P But I lightened it up -- I was going all out for a couple of months but found myself not looking forward to it, now half an hour instead of a whole hour and a half is better.
Get into your exercise gear! :P Walks, I find, are my favorite form of exercise.

Rasmine, Darlin', I'm (I hate to say it) elderly.
It's not easy to exercise, but I know - "Use it or lose it", so I'll give it a shot.
    Thanks for your encouragement!

Hahaha.
I'm a card carrying member of Silver Sneakers through Humana myself, Pome Lover.
And you're right, it's not too difficult to do the things they do.
Your poem is very funny. A witty peek at getting older and not necessarily lovin' it.
Good times!
~Dean :)

thanks, Dean! You always make me feel so good!.
I have been told that exercising does, too.
But then, so does a good wine.
    Lessee, exercise, or wine? hm-m-m

This is a really cute poem, my friend, the picture is hilarious. I never heard of these silver sneakers. I think my muscles are on strike, I get stuck where I sit too, lol, Exercise for me, no way, I'd rather stay stuck, lol Good luck on your new endeavors:)

Thanks! have to admit I haven't tried it yet. :) But I do walk around the house when I'm on the phone. That's about as much exercise as I get. But who knows, one day.....
reply by Kerry Foley Robinson on 05-Jan-2018
lol, yup, I walk aimlessly forgetting what I was doing, that's my exercise and vacuuming, lol.

What a fun poem to read tonight. I enjoyed each line. I have a list of resolutions for 2018 and I'm doing ok so far but it's early yet.

Great rhyme and good use of alliteration.

Well done.
Blessings
Janet

Did that picture remind you of George Burns? I share your reluctance to stir much in this cold weather. So, I guess it's back to the keyboard. Excellent post.

This really sounds like me. I spend a lot of time writing. Our local Activity Center has a Silver Sneakers class, so there's no excuse for me. I've yet to sign up, though. I have osteoarthritis too, and a list of related problems that looks a mile long on my medical record. It's more fun to imagine ourselves exercising and doing that good stuff than actually getting out there and working up a sweat. Excellent poem. Great humor and rhyme. Love the artwork, too. That gal doesn't seem to have a care. Oh, she must be a Red Hatter to. She has something red on her head and is wearing purple pants. judi

Judy, you did my heart good! great response and good luck to you. haven't exercised yet. :)
IF - big if - I do decide to do the exercise, I'll just Google it on you tube and do it in my office to the program on the computer. no going to a class for me.

You're very welcome. That would be a great way to avoid getting out and still get some exercise. judi

A very well-written humorous poem. Sometimes I wish I could move around more and get out of the wheelchair to save my hip bones from pushing into the chair seat.

Phyllis Stewart told me she "dances" in her chair to keep her circulation going ( and her feet from swelling) - but not when she's typing. :)
