Mmmmm.... chocolate. That can only be a sign of something good. Will be interesting to learn why she's been whisked back this time. Should be easy enough to locate Jacob if she knows the town and time he died. :)

This is only half of part 26, it was too long to put it on in one hit, I didn't think people would read it if they saw how long it was. So, part two is coming on tomorrow. I'll have to make sure I put a message at the top saying its part 2. The chocolate is an important piece of the story, as you will discover later in the book. Thanks for reading this part, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xx

Wow, I have not been keeping up on my reviews too well...or anything else! But the story is still going strong! How are the sales on the book??

Hi JoAnn, thank you for reading this half part, the other half will be posted tomorrow. The book is doing really well, I've had some wonderful reviews on Amazon.com, and .co.uk! It's a strange feeling when you know your book is being read by someone you don't know. Actually, it's a wonderful feeling! LOL. Thank you for asking, my friend. Happy New Year!! Sandra xxx

Cornwall around 1846. Do your records show up things like that? - need closing speech marks here.

The incidental details and beats between the dialogue are great, helping to ground the conversations in a real setting.

The relationship between Mildred & Veronica is also very heart-warming.

I've added the closing speech marks, Gareth, thank you for spotting that and letting me know.
Thank you so much for this positive review, I'm so glad you like the dialogue, Mildred is my favourite, I have a friend just like her, lol, she's read the book but didn't notice, bless her. I'll be posting the second part of this part tomorrow. I have problems stopping when I'm in full flow. :( Happy New Year, my friend! And thanks again for the lovely review. xx Sandra

I'm glad to see you post another chapter Sandra. It does look like a person would be easy to find back then. The area was not so populated as now. Wow, that is something to think about. Time travel. How did you ever come up with that? It tires my brain to think about it. LOL Carry on my talented friend. xxxxx Nancy

LOL, The first book is doing so well, I have to make sure this will too. The reviews I've had are gob-smacking! I'm so pleased you enjoy reading this one, that is so encouraging! What a lovely friend you are. Thank you, dear Nancy! Big hugs. Sandra xxx

How wonderful to have you and your "crew" back here again, Sandra. Hopefully you had a great time at Christmas and New Year. Time sometimes flies so!

Another great chapter of yours. Now I'm wondering what will come next - is Veronica at home having her glas refilled or is she off gallivanting in the past with tons of chocolate to sweeten her journeys?

Excellent writing, no spags that I could detect. It was great getting into this story again.

Wish you all the best for the New Year.
Aki

PS: How's the reading going?

Hi Aki, Thank you so much, my friend. I'll post the second part of this tomorrow. I won't stay away for so long in future. Christmas was great, but for three weeks before that, I was dog sitting a giant Lurcher, he was a softy and very lovable.
I've just finished The Chase, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and will be buying 'The Capture' next. You've written loads of books! I love the Golden Shana series, and will finish those before going onto one of your other series. I love it when there are more in the series, and I'm hoping to do the same with this one. At the moment I'm thinking 3, but it might be more, I'll have to see how it goes. I love your book, now to see how the Chase goes., I might not be able to start it for a few weeks, but I'll get it soon and then can dive in when I've more time. Thanks again for your review, my friend. xx Sandra x

That's wonderful, Sandra. I'm nearing the end phase of The Capture here, and still have The Untouchable at the editors. But I might start posting The Untouchable here around February.

    Blessings,
    Aki

I know I could read it on here as you are writing it, but if you don't mind, I would rather buy your book and read straight through. I will put my review on Amazon for you. You are a very talented author! x

The part about names is very interesting. I never thought about Smith going back so far. Makes sense, though. I think it's fascinating how we came about our names. Obviously, you've done research on this.

The librarian was certainly a pleasant character. A nice addition. And there Veronica goes again. Zip, she's off.

I'm learning so much with this book, I could probably take my A level exams in history now!! LOL. Thank you so much, Yvonne, for such a lovely review and all those stars, an extra Christmas present!! I'm glad you enjoyed that bit, I think Veronica will be doing a lot more research over the next few parts, it will save me! LOL. I'm posting the rest of this part tomorrow, I didn't realise I'd gone on so long. Happy New Year, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xx

The air of mystery swirls through this piece, and you make the mystery come alive in dialogue and interaction between characters, which is good. This gives it a face, a name, a collection of feelings. I think it all sounds very natural and honest and the relationship between the characters, especially husband and wife, seem well defined. Nice suspenseful ending estory

Hi Sandra, This is a great continuation to the story, and in places it made me laugh out loud. Mildred is such a character. Now, Veronica is yet again back in time, but Instead of wine she has a piece of chocolate in her hand - intriguing.
A minor thing: 'you might be surprised at what you might find' There's two 'might' very close to each other.
I'm so glad I had a six left for this wonderful writing. Lots of regards. Ulla xxxx

Thank you so very much, Ulla, for the lovely 6 stars. Where are you at the moment? Thank you for pointing out the two 'mights' I'll change one of them, well spotted, my friend. I'm posting part two of this part tomorrow, it was much too long to put it all on in one hit. Thanks again, my friend. Sandra xxx

I'm hundred kilometers from Zaragoza, or so, in a town called Calahorra. I'll be back home on Friday early in the afternoon. As you know, I love your story. xxx

Hi, Sandra;
Interesting that Veronica should be holding a piece of chocolate. Since we know of its powers, I'm wondering if she brought the knowledge with her, and is using it for some reason.

I do hope she is able to locate Jacob and tell him about his son.

Looking forward to more - as always,

~patty~

The chocolate is what Joe made. She taught him when he was in her son, Michael's body. Now he can make it, he can use it to his advantage.... you'll see how later. ;) Thank you for reading this part, my friend. I'm posting the second part of this tomorrow, it was too long to put on in one go. Sandra xx
