Hi, Trisha;
Great job of using the double etheree to accentuate the ekphrastic nature of the poem. It is too true; there are both staircases that go UP, and those that go DOWN.

Well done,

~patty~

I think you captured the essence of the artwork beautifully in this well penned piece. Indeed there are two directions in which the staircase leads - may we all choose the 'up' route. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

    It?s a controversial subject. Since I saw the picture, that idea bloomed with the beauty of that sight. Thanks so much for reviewing

We all know where we would rather be and if everyone's sins are forgiven then no one goes to hell do they? Just a thought and did want to detract from your faithful write filled with promise and expectation, unfortunately death, for me anyway is final, love Dolly x

This picture show the door to Heaven from which you see both Heaven and Hell depending on which way you look. It reminds us of the way to look so we can enter Heaven. I like how it can be read from top to bottom and bottom to top.

Keep writing

Joan

    I've seen other poems use different renditions of the Heavenly Gates but this one was one of the best.

    Your welcome.

Good morning, Trisha: Is this the second poem for the day. I think I read more than two. Perhaps they were from the other day. I see that you are # 6 on the rankings. Wow! You made it on the list. Bravo.

This post and the way you shaped the letters is wonderful. Your computer skills are terrific. Nicely done!
