Hello, again. I do have to say that I feel some of your rhyming doesn't really go together for me. Also some of the way you tried to rhyme doesn't make sense to me. I'm sorry if I'm wrong.

the countdown for us all has been defined
and so we have just one job while we're here:

Hi Christine. This is an outstanding poem and deserving of a sixer. I'm sorry not to have one for you. You've described it so well. Here is the stanza that I like the best, but entire poem is a gem:
"Our choices made are ours and ours alone;
No blame to others, good or bad we own.
The wise will use their time to set the pace;
For fools, who know no better, time will waste."

Hi Marilyn, I always enjoy these challenge poem and this is one I wrote while on my recent holiday aand ai liked that Stanza too Ha Ha no one to blame but ourselves for our world . Although I can be very lazy and waste time also but generally very busy doing something or another. As always Cheers and A big Thank you hug Christine

A wise piece - I think several of us have written along a similar theme with this picture. The idea of 'get busy, friend-- time will not wait!' haha!

Favorite lines:

It seems a general truth and as such more difficult to express in an interesting and fresh manner. I am not sure about the syntax in/ while others struggle poverty in need./ However, that may be just the style.
