HI Carolyn, where there is true love sweet girl...nothing stands in it's way...I saw that with my father...my mother had a stroke...her face changed...and she grew old...wrinkles in every bend....he never saw her different from the first day he met her...she was always beautiful to him...in there actions and there features... they still loved...I love your poem...and the picture is so perfect...very nicely written my sweet friend...love you...Linda xxoo

A very well-written poem of an everlasting love now in the final chapter. The way we show our love may have changed over the years but the bond is still strong and hold us together.

Very sweet observations and sharing. Some people always hold a bit of mystery. Smooth flowing like conversation even without any rhyme. Great job.

I think this is a good entry for the 'Free Verse Poetry' writing prompt.
Good message, well said. A story well told in verse.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

Carolyn, this is a thought provoking poem. As I read it I was taken into my marriage and how our relationship changed as we became older, there was a comfort like a nice pair of warm slippers. We always settled our disagreements before going to sleep. I miss that man as he truly was the wind beneath my broken wings. Patricia
