This is an excellent entry in this horror writing contest. You created some abject and imaginative tension from the very beginning of the narrative, and maintained it brilliantly to the very end, great job, using the ways of a "normal" to underline its satanic ways. About once a year I reread Poe's classic because I love how he sets the scene amidst the many rooms and partying guests. Thanks for sharing "Stranger," MA, and I welcome your encouraging review.
