It is terrible to look at what others do, but sometimes it's for their best. The conversation seemed real. Well thought out and clearly written. Great visual imagery as it was story. Not a great story but relatable to many at one time or another. Great work. Good luck in the contest.

Great job with the dialogue only prompt. It is hard to keep most resolutions, and dieting is certainly one of the hardest. I can't go even one day without overdoing it with bread, dessert, or candy. You do excellent work in showing all the temptations of food, especially around the holidays, so it's easy to put off starting that diet until the festive occasions are out of the way. Very interesting post and so true. Happy New Year to you. judi

I liked what the dialogue was about. New year's resolutions are so hard to stick to. You make them every year and every year most people never stick to them or they start them then somehow slowly go off them. Not sure how that happens. I thought it was well written and it flowed nicely. Thank you for sharing. NB

Ain't it the truth. I'm going to enter this contest, probably tomorrow. There's an old movie that I often quote called Tobacco Road. There's an old man whose grandmother wandered off and got lost in the woods. Whenever his wife would ask him to do something, he said I'll do it after I find grandma.
