This is an amazing entry as you have had so many opportunities with the rug snatched from under you abruptly. It is well written and holds one attention especially since you cleverly reference Ray and then put him aside until the end - of course everyone would want to know what role he played. All the best in the judging and thank you very much for sharing it.

A very well-written life story. Fame and fortune seems to evade many talented people. On the other hand when we see how some famous people turn out at the end it might be a blessing in disguise.

Hehehehe!!!!! This is so you and so funny. I bet no one knows how actually TRUE this really is. I can't believe you never made it in music. You just weren't pushy with yourself I guess. Those were the days though. Remember The Ice House? Every great comedian right there five feet away, Steve Martin, Carlin, Tomlin ... musicians too. The Whiskey ... wow, never like that again. What the heck?! You didn't tell me that you are in fact the famed, albeit late, Ray Manzarek, Mav. He was a large part of the genius of the Doors and their elongated trance musical solos. Love how you've overlaid the essential and genuine Ray. Yeesh.
